What we do

TRAFFIC India broadly categorizes its area of work under three main programmes:
As a specialist organisation monitoring wildlife trade issues, working in new, innovative, creative ways, TRAFFIC India’s programmes focuses on five Key Result Areas (KRAs):

(Catalysing responses to new and emerging knowledge about wildlife hunting, harvest and trade levels, patterns and trends)

Result Area 2 – Flagship species in trade
(Driving emergency action for emblematic threatened species that act as flagships of wider trade and conservation challenges)

Result Area 3 – Resource security and wildlife trade
(Supporting trade measures that help encourage sustainable practice within some major wildlife resource sectors)

Result Area 4 – Wildlife trade routes
(Taking focused action along priority trade routes to reduce wildlife trade threats to priority centers of biodiversity, species and resources)

Result Area 5 – Rapid response and innovation
