WWF-India's National Nature Camping Programme

Calling all Nature Lovers! Come join us to experience the grand beauty of India!

Nature is exciting, inspiring, refreshing and constantly changing. It is full of mysteries to be marveled at and beauty to be admired.

Our aim is to generate support for conservation of nature through creation of environmentally conscious, knowledgeable, sensitive and active individuals and groups, using nature camps as a tool.

WWF-India organizes and conducts Nature Camps for affiliates, corporates, families, students, schools, members of the public and any groups who are interested in nature or want to experience its grandeur first-hand.

Camps are held in batches in various wildlife sanctuaries and National Parks around the country covering a diverse range of habitat and wildlife, enabling anyone to experience the grand beauty, richness and conservation value of the vast and incredible wilderness areas of India.

The time of visit depends on season and prevailing weather conditions.

Exact dates and fees are informed along with specific announcements of campsites.

Wildlife
These camps cover varied habitats and their associated forms of wildlife. Wildlife does not mean only elephants, rhino’s and tigers and therefore WWF-I camps also focus on other life forms, such as insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds other mammals and plants.

Camp Activities
Activities include nature trails through the jungle, bird watching excursions, wildlife jeep safaris, treks and adventure activities like river crossing, climbing, rappelling and tenting in the forest (where feasible),boating, enjoyable slide shows and video films on nature and wildlife. All this and more under the guidance and care of the largest conservation organization in India, is what one will experience at these camps.

Campsite
Accommodations are in comfortable tents, log huts, with attached modern toilet facilities. Some sites may not have continuous power supply, but substitute hurricane lanterns serve to heighten the wilderness atmosphere. Food is both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

At some campsites big game, including elephants often come visiting to your doorstep!!

For Corporates
Mostly all campsites have a conducive conference hall cum lounge which can be isolated for corporates use. Official work in terms of meetings, conferences and training or bond building sessions can also be conducted. Electronic equipment such as projectors can be used at most sites.
