World Environment Day Celebrations

On the occasion of the World Environment Day 2006, the Sikkim programme office of WWF-India released a report titled, "People's Opinion On The Impacts Of Ban On Grazing” in Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary, Sikkim.

The report was released by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Mr. Pawan Chamling, during a programme arranged State Forest Department of the Sikkim Government. This report is a result of a research study that was supported by WWF-India.
