The year gone by

During the session of 2004-2005, CEL successfully completed the 12th Diploma in Environmental Law.
The Diploma Programme was introduced to provide an in-depth exposure to students on issues, institutions and initiatives in the field of environmental law and policy, to create a critical mass of expertise in this field. Since its inception in 1993, the CEL has established itself as a leading centre for teaching environmental law, policy and research in India.

As a part of the Diploma programme, the CEL also organised a field visit for the students to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. As part of its initiative under Agenda 21, Forest and Wildlife Conservation Laws were included as a part of the curriculum at the TERI School of Advance Studies, to build the capacity of institutions in this regard.
