The library subscribes to more than 60 journals on varied subjects, published by well known organizations such as BBC Wildlife, National Geographic, Sanctuary Asia, Hornbill, Current Science, Mausam and more. It also receives over 250 newsletters from national and international organizations such as working on WWF’s thematic areas.
Top English newspapers and dailies such as the Times of India, Hindustan Times, Pioneer, International Herald Tribune, as well as Hindi newspapers such as Nav Bharat Times and Dainik Jagaran are available for users. The library also maintains a repository of articles relevant to topics falling under WWF’s thematic areas for a period of 1 year, which also includes articles featuring WWF-India’s work. Apart from this, all newspapers are stored up to 3 months for reference. The library has a membership of Developing Library Network (DELNET) which enables it to borrow books, journals and other material from 2800 libraries all over India, on special request from employees and other organizations.
The Library is in the process of digitizing its collection of old books, journals, relevant newspaper articles, and other documents to ensure better preservation and improve accessibility. In order to better serve its users, the library aims to create separate sections for students, researchers, and nature lovers by hosting books relevant to their interest in different corners.
