Goal:

Promote environmentally, economically and socially sound forest conservation and management practices in India while reducing India's forest footprint on critical eco-regions in other Countries.

Our approaches:

  • Develop incentives for responsible forestry practices and market linkages through the Global Forest Trade Network;
  • Assess and address forest conversion for commodities such as palm oil, soy and biofuels within India and externally;
  • Promote the carbon markets that support forest conservation and communities
  • Create awareness and capacity building on sustainable forestry
