The last of the webinar series Nat-Infra Dialogue was organized by WWF-India in collaboration with Consulting Engineers’ Association of India (CEAI) under the ALIGN project supported by USAID. This webinar was on ‘Minimizing the impacts of Power lines on Avian Species’. In this webinar, we learned about the impacts of Transmission Power lines on Avian species – mostly Great Indian Bustards and Raptors among others, mitigation strategies being implemented to minimize the risks, existing norms and practices of research in monitoring the impacts among other fresh from the industry leaders and researchers. This webinar will further discussed on Bird Life International’s Avian Sensitivity Tool for Energy Planning (AVISTEP) as a decision-making tool for Power Infrastructure. This webinar was helpful for the conservation enthusiasts and practitioners mainly working in the sector of power lines – EIA and DPR Consultants, Researchers, Conservation and Development stakeholders among others.
