There are small changes we can make right now in our every day lives. When we all come together to make these changes, they can make a big difference.
One of the best things you can do for our planet is change what you eat. Eating a healthy diet with less meat and more plant-based foods, reducing food waste, and only buying fish from sustainable sources all help to protect our planet.
Re-use, buy less, and choose nature-friendly products. For example, only buy paper and wood from recycled or sustainable sources featuring the FSC logo to be confident you’re not harming the world’s forests.
Help combat climate change, and increase air quality by reducing your use of fossil fuels and supporting renewable energy; for example, in the way you get around and power your home.
Our voices are powerful. Use yours to call for nature-friendly choices. For example, write to your supermarket and to food companies to ask that they only use palm oil that hasn’t caused deforestation.
Understand the link between our consumption and waste in nature. Weigh up how much time we spend using a product against the time it spends in nature once discarded. Make informed decisions to go without non-essentials or choose better alternatives for them.
By supporting WWF, you can help to protect the iconic species and places featured in Our Planet. From grasslands, oceans and rivers, to forests and frozen worlds, WWF is working around the world to secure a future where people and nature thrive.
As the series shows, our impact on the natural world is immense, yet there is real cause for hope – nature can recover if we act together and act fast.
Support WWF today to help save our shared home. Today we have become the greatest threat to the health of our planet. We're the first generation to know what we're doing, and the last who have a chance to put things right.
