Shri S.N. Somasekhar v. The State of Karnataka

Application had been filed  against the Yettinahole Water Diversion Project in Karnataka which was negatively impacting the biodiversity in the Western Ghats and interest of the local community. However, it was contended by the respondents that the said application was barred by limitation as under Section 14(3) of NGT Act 2010. The tribunal accepted the contention and held that the applicant was barred by limitation as having failed to file application within time.
