WWF India hosted a webinar “Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs) for Corporate Power Procurement in India” on March 23, 2021. Patrick Leonard, Senior Manager, Renewable Energy Procurement Team, Amazon and Pinaki Bhattacharyya, Chief Executive Officer, Amp Energy joined the webinar and shared their perspective on Virtual Power Purchase Agreements as one of the successful corporate power procurement models globally, and deliberated on the way forward for unlocking the adoption of VPPAs in the Indian Context. This webinar is an effort to showcase the perspective of global players and RE developers and sensitize the Indian stakeholders to fast-track the adoption of alternative RE procurement models in the existing regulatory framework.
