The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has joined the Green Hiker in support, through its Incredible India campaign already widespread in the country. This partnership between the ministry and the Green Hiker Campaign stems from the need to work together to achieve a common conservation goal, i.e. to protect the Himalayan landscape from negative anthropogenic impacts, and make tourism sustainable.

Ecotourism Society of India (ESOI) has been associated with WWF-India in several conservation efforts, especially pertaining to responsible tourism. With a view of achieving a common objective, our efforts have united and strengthened under the Green Hiker campaign.
The Mountain Cleaners (MC)
WWF-India and the Mountain Cleaners have been working together to conserve the high altitude Manimahesh Lake and its environs, located in Himachal Pradesh. Once again, the common objective of keeping the lake clean and biodiversity safe has drawn Green Hiker and the MC together.
Lonely Planet Magazine- India (LPMI)
In the form a travelogue contest called ‘Ecotrail’ launched in 2010, LPMI came forward to show its support for the cause of ‘green travel’. The contest was jointly organized, with the first three prize winning travelogue entries being published in the April 2010 issue of the magazine.
