Governor of Uttarakhand acknowledges the work of WWF-India

During the Spring Festival held on March 23-24, 2013 at the residence of the Governor of Uttarakhand, WWF-India showcased its work in the field of nature conservation. During the inaugural function on March 23, the Governor, Dr. Aziz Qureshi signed a pledge to switch off all non-essential lights for one hour at Raj Bhawan on the occasion of Earth Hour in order to spread the word on climate change.

Posters and educational material was displayed to highlight WWF-India’s work and reach out to masses to raise awareness. The governor visited the WWF-India stall to find out more about its conservation efforts. In addition to various publications and research projects, he was told about the Green Hiker campaign. The festival was attended by school students, senior citizens and many more people.
