In Arunachal Pradesh, WWF is making the following efforts to conserve high altitude wetland complexes:
Bhagajang and Nagula Wetland Complexes
- Active involvement of different stakeholders, like the Tawang Monastery authorities, Forest Department, Indian Army, local people and local non-government organisations
- Various education and awareness programmes with a special focus on high altitude wetlands are being run
- A formal MOU with the Tawang Monastery for the conservation of the wetland complex has been signed
- Scientific documentation of the wetland complex is being carried out
